Holiday decorations
Fewer decorations than usual, and reminders of my friends Gail who decorated the tree with a sewing theme and Marge who made the wonderful glass block that lights up the room.
The glass trees were finds at a flea market . I added embellishments to the birdhouse with snowmen and snowflakes.
The tree wallhanging I had made previously with Artist Trading cards that I exchanged in swaps on the internet.I had a green UFO with couched yarns, cords and threads that was used as background and added a doily for the tree skirt.

Mall Train display
Amazing train display at Aventura Mall. They have miniature buildings of the stores in the mall and even have a rail display within the display..photo #6. There is a helicopter that goes up and down, a railroad crossing with gates that work, a drawbridge that go up and down and many trains.

New Fibers 2012 exhibit
The New Fibers 2012 exhibit is not be missed.
It is presented by The Fiber Arts Network of Michigan.
It is on the second floor EMU Student Center thru Dec 16th.

Petroleum Museum & Chaparral Gallery
The Petroleum Museum in Midland Texas gave an overview of how oil is discovered, drilled and produced.
The Chaparral Gallery inside the museum had many Jim Hall and Hap Sharp Racing team cars and was of the highlights..The cars were so impressive and the drive to Midland was well worth the time.
