My latest Space Shuttle quilt designed in Make the Cut software created as a tribute to the astronauts, scientists , spacewalks and modern technology. Currently , Endeavour's STS-134 mission is so amazing but appears so routine.

Free motion workshop



Several of us  in the Needlework and Textile Guild of Michigan took a workshop with Suzanne Gregg . Here are her wonderful figures which she creates with two different threads in the needle and a free motion zigazag. My project is still a UFO!

Fractured waterlily, group quilt

We started with this picture:


The framed waterlily is my completed quilt
Here is a detail of my quilt:

I added Anglina and sheer fabrics to the waterlily. I created the leaves with felt and organza that were heated with the heat gun to create texture and holes. They were then needlefelted together . I then added machine embroidery and free motion quilted the quilt.

The right side of the quilt is Lynn's art work and the bottom center of the quilt is Christine's art work.
