At our annual Needlework and Textile Guild of Michigan luncheon, we displayed some fantastic fiberart. Deb Gash's Paper quilt, Kathy Jacobi's self portrait, Jeanne Sarna's Felted Jacket are just some of the wonderful pieces.
Attended a retreat in Columbus, Ohio to learn my new Klick n Kut Eagle. It is one tremendous die cutting machine that I got because of its huge 24x27"mat. Sandy, our extremely knowledgeable and helpful instructor was just awesome and I can still hear her telling us to cut, cut, cut! Here are some of the show n tell from the attendees and some of the projects we worked on while learning about the software and the KNK machines. Sandy gave us a very detailed book with tons of info and many, many videos to take home. It was such a learning experience and so much fun!
The quilt was created for the Michigan Invitational 2011, The Art of the Kitchen. The arches, palette and text were designed in Make the Cut Software and cut with the Cricut. The foods are phototransfers on fabric. The sari is my wedding chunni (veil). I also embellished with beads, sequins, and trims.
