The Statue of Liberty represents Freedom and our right to choose.

We protect eagle eggs and destroy humans. 

 The buttons represent the zeros in the 50,000,000.

Glass bottles

What a great idea to hang colorful bottles upside down on a rack. Admired the colors of the glass as light filtered through it! This was outside, in front of a house in town.

Adventurous Quilters meeting

We had a fun meeting and we also played with crayons on fabric.
We got the best results when we melted the crayons by holding the iron underneath the fabric.
Afterwards, we added parchment paper to the top of the fabric and ironed on a high temperature to get rid of the wax. The colors were very vivid.

Estate Sale finds

The contemporary floor lamp is great because it lights up for reading and really brightens up the room like a halogen lamp. The Pennyslvania House loveseat was one of two great pieces of furniture that I tried to load up in my stationwagon. The legs would not come off to fit. The nice person who sold me the loveseats offered her husband's truck to deliver them right to our house!

Great Lakes African American Quilt Show

Vi used sandpaper to prepare a chair and added scraps with Mod Podge and used Triple Thick Finish.
The decoupage chair turned out great!

The door quilts were great, too.

Crowleys Department store was where we worked between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the holidays during college. And, we would walk to Hudsons during the Holidays.
Some of these buildings are gone, we sure do have fond memories.
The Belle Isle aquarium among many others were indeed great places to visit in Detroit.
