Fractured waterlily

Lynn, Christine and I made the same waterlily about 17 x22.
We fractured it, swapped sections and reassembled and quilted it.
The first photo is my quilt. The second is the original inspiration.
Finally, the third one is that of my fractured quilt.

Marriage, Life Lessons and Free Advice!

This quilt was exhibited at the International Quilt Festival in Cincinnati last weekend and earlier in Houston as well.It is part of the Good For You traveling exhibit. The ideas were develped  as free advice for my daughters over several years and was a labor of love . The design was in a positive negative format to reflect the positive and negative aspects of marriage.

Painting silk paper

Our fibergroup spent the day painting silk paper which has great texture. We learnt that silk paper is very fragile when wet! The papers will eventually be sewn into quilts.
