Spring in Progress

I started with a background color that reflects my blue mood as I am submerged in grief.

Merill Comeau ‘s Challenge asked us to self reflect and pick text to create our work.

Spring means new growth and hope to me. I appliqued and paper pieced flowers and flourishes and embellished with beads, trims and hand embroidered the rain and flowers

Combined 3 challenges in one. Community Stitch Merill Comeau Challenge 2021: use text

Needlework and Textile Guild of Michigan challenge #7: Hurry Spring

My Inner Child

My inner child now lives life vicariously though the eyes of my grandkids. Their endless energy and enthusiasm keeps me vibrant and young!

The final Project quilting challenge, Ab intra, asked us to look within.
