The Franklin Art Fair Labor day weekend had some art, classic cars, food and fun on a beautiful, sunny day.

Stacking the Deck

Two novelty decks of cards were used for this quilt. One deck had Saddam Hussein, his sons and other Iraqi players and the other deck had members of the Bush Administration. Playing with the deck of cards which were purchased at the Chicago Flea Market years ago made me revisit the “Shock and Awe” and other the Iraqi War Games.

Baby Soft

An abstract challenge to interpret soft...this quilt shows a mother’s love for her baby..a

 soft spot for the baby in her heart, soft baby skin

Karen made a dress from a double border fabric from Ny, Jan did a strip challenge to create a citiscape and beaded tubes at the neckline

Water in the basement aftermath

A water pipe incident created a huge mess..cleanup of my sewing space will continue on..Really appreciate the help from family and friends.
Am discovering lots of great fabrics and notions and am also realizing I need to give away LOTS of stuff acquired over 30 plus years....It sure is overwhelming!
