Greenmeade Flea Market

LOTS of  tables, so many treasures,so much fun! These are just a very few pictures of the HUGE flea market in Livonia. Even though we did not make it to every booth, the half off sale at many vendors at the end of the day was even more fun! And we can do it again in September...

Metal Quilt inspired by the Beatles

Still Crazy and Nuts About Him After All These Years!

The Beatles song that inspired this quilt is "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" for a Fast Friday challenge. The quilt background is a crazy patch. The hands also represent a lifetime partnership.

Female hand: silver nuts .Male hand: gold washers.
The nuts and washers were hand sewn and the quilt is machine quilted.
Designed in Make the Cut software, cut with my digital cutter.

It has a 6” center and is 14” framed.

Unique bus stops

Loved the unique bus stops with glass and metal in Philly! And there were some great stained glass windows, too.

Philadelphia murals

Impressive murals on the side of buldings seen during a walking tour in Philly.
I especially liked the one with mosaics!

DIY Glass Ornaments for the Lawn

We took a class at Encore Upscale Resale in Southfield, MI on creating these for our garden. We glued glass plates, bowls, flat marbles with Loctite clear silicone waterproof sealant. DAP glue also works. The first step was glueing a hockey puck that had a predrilled hole to the back of a base plate and then adding a metal rod with glue as a stand for the flowers. We added more embellishments to finish our new garden treasures that are sure to sparkle in the sunlight.
