Easter crafts

The yellow basket started with a plain 8 1/2 by 11 inch cardstock paper . It was creased, folded,  embossed and shaped into the basket shape.

The blue and white basket is woven ribbon.
The muti colored flower is from slit cupcake wrappers and the center of the wrappers was cut out and glued to the blue and white Easter basket.

These projects are from the fun monthly Plymouth library Papercrafts meeting where the librarians generously provide all the materials and directions on how to assemble them.

The dinosaur basket held goodies including toys and balls that light up as well as candy.

Senior Bus trip to the DIA

Many paper crafters went on a free Senior Bus trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts from the Plymouth Library. There was an art project and a docent tour with wonderful cookies, too!
Cannot wait till the grand kids are old enough to participate in the DIA projects and activities.

Papercrafts with cupcake wrappers and punched leaves

Papercrafts at the Plymouth library.

The librarians made Thanksgiving turkey cards with cupcake wrappers and punched leaves. My cards are folded cupcake wrapper flowers and punched leaf flowers for Thank you cards from the same materials they generously provided.

Library Papercraft projects

We created several projects at the Plymouth, Michigan  Library on Saturday.
One was a candle that we added an embellished design on mulberry or tissue paper.Wax paper was placed on top of the design around the candle and our design was melted with a heat gun.
We also made several cards..one was a giant heart that folded in an envelope size and can be mailed.
We also created pockets that have a sliding Candy bar with the help of a ribbon.
It was a very fun day with supplies generously provided by the Library and lots of time and patience on part of the Librarians for the 48 attendees.

Papercrafts at Library

Another fun event where they provided all supplies, even cut papers to size for us to assemble and embellish.
We made a sliding card and also purse that opens up and closes with a velcro dot.
The trifold card has precut butterflies with a die cutter.
Very fun!
