Fiber show

This beautiful quilt is made with  metal popcans by Susan. We were going to have a fibergroup meeting but went on  a field trip on this unusually warm March day to pick up silk paper and other treasures instead .

We also stopped at the Scrapbox and saw the lovely Ann Arbor Fiberarts exhibit in Chelsea .

Fibergroup crayon batik

We melted crayons on a hot plate in cupcake holders and we also drew designs on foil on the hotplate, let them melt and transferred the design to fabric. The crayons were the resist . We  painted over them and ironed  the designs between newspapers to remove them.

Fibergroup screenprinting fun and inspirations

We used paints, stencils, screens and decolarants. Karen and I finally opened our screenprinting kits. Cannot wait to see the finished projects!
