Collaborative Book

We each decided our theme and size of art and made book pages for each other. I picked Positive Vibes as my theme and chose a 4x6 size so I could also incorporate some of my postcard and ATC swaps in my project. Created a book with watercolor papers, paint, and many embellishments. When I receive my Cnandian partner's page, I will add it and finish the book. I love how its turning out!

The Wonder Of Eyes Textile Exhibition and Art Exchange

These quilts were part of The Wonder Of Eyes Textile Exhibition and Art Exchange in Australia at the Australasian Quilt Convention in 2021. Visual Information By Charlotte Scott is the quilt I got in exchange for my Apple Of My Eye. Charlotte, from New Zealand, has an abundance of beautiful french knots and exquisite hand embroidery. The photo does not capture the wonderful details. I am so lucky to have received it! Brenda Gael Smith, the curator of the exhibition actually spun a wheel for the fun exchange in a zoom meeting. Spring in Progress

I started with a background color that reflects my blue mood as I am submerged in grief.

Merill Comeau ‘s Challenge asked us to self reflect and pick text to create our work.

Spring means new growth and hope to me. I appliqued and paper pieced flowers and flourishes and embellished with beads, trims and hand embroidered the rain and flowers

Combined 3 challenges in one.

TextileArtist.org Community Stitch Merill Comeau Challenge 2021: use text

Needlework and Textile Guild of Michigan challenge #7: Hurry Spring
