Was delighted to discover Inspired by the Nation's Capital at the Original Sewing and Quult Expo, Novi, MI. It is an exhibit and book by Donna Desoto.

Happy to visit my quilt,  and admire the other 102 beautiful art quilts about DC.

My quilt, DC skyline: Keys to the Nation has both positive and negative images that were designed in software,cut with an electronic cutter and machine quilted.

The birds above were made by friends at the ASG . The bottom four are ones I made at The American Sewing Guild meeting. We filled them with polyester batting and rice. We used tassels and fringe at the neck and buttons for eyes.

National Quilt Museum, Primal Forces: Wind

 

Thrilled to be a part of the fantastic Wind exhibit at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY.

Delighted to see this quilt in person that was made for my grandson who is fascinated by tornadoes!
